Control - #SOL21

I really didn't know what to write for a Slice today. I could write about how haywire the school year has started off.

Or, how flipped upside-down my home life is right now.

But, for some reason I feel lead to write about control.

In all the stuff going crazy in my life right now, I have one thing I can control. It's just about the ONLY thing I can control right now...meal prep.

I actually took the time to plan, shop, and prep breakfast and lunch for the week.

For everything else, God is going to have to work it out.

  1. It's good to have something in control. Having some good food may prepare you for the rest.

  2. I love this post. Sometimes, it's the small things that we can control which are the most powerful to us. Food, the great equalizer in life, is always a good place to put some energy.

May it bring you some peace in your life right now.

Thank you for sharing with us today.

  3. Looking for those tiny moments of control helps my anxiety when so much feels out of control. Hoping things feel more "settled" for you soon.

  4. YES!! We need these health-affirming and sanity-saving moments of control. I never thought to do breakfast prep, but now you have me thinking...I do plan my clothes out by the week, and make lunches on Sundays. Thanks also for letting me know that I'm in good company with this overwhelming feeling of chaos this school year.
