This has been a count-downer kind of year. I know I wrote a blog post the week before our break that centered around a poem that literally counted the days. Wishing you a speedy fulfilling week and then a long lovely slow stretch of break!
I think that sometimes, counting down can be a very good thing! You're counting down to the opportunity to re-energize yourself during the break so that you can return to school following the break ready to conquer the rest of the school year. I think that the important thing to remember is the statement that you made that you're not usually a countdown type of person, so that shows that you need this break:)

ReplyDeleteIt seems I have counted down to more things this year than in prior years. Enjoy your break next week!
ReplyDeleteTotally get it- I am not a count down person either, but this year...Go, you!
ReplyDeleteNo guilt! Allow yourself to be a countdowner - sometimes, its good for the kids to see that teachers like breaks too! : )

ReplyDeleteWe are counting together this week, and I feel no guilt!
ReplyDeleteBrief and to the point. Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteWe have a holiday today and it's just glorious. I know how you feel. This school year's been too 'heavy'. Just the lie-in is plenty.

ReplyDeleteOh how I understand! I'm not usually a count downer either, but I am this year. Counting down is getting me through.
